Youba schließt Partnerschaft mit Mercedes-Benz NXT Studio

Mercedes-Benz gab vor kurzer Zeit den Startschuss für ein eigenes Web3 Studio. Unser Portfoliounternehmen Youba liefert nun die passende Hardware dazu: Somit erhalten langjährige Kunden des schwäbischen Autobauers exklusiven Zugang zu digitalen Assets ermöglicht durch eine hochwertige Hardware-Wallet made by youba und der einfachen Benutzererfahrung der One-Tap app.

Particula beim Münchner VC Stammtisch

Unser Portfoliounternehmen Particula hat beim VC-Stammtisch in München letzte Woche überragendes Feedback bekommen. Particula ist die erste Rating Agency und Datenplattform für digital Assets.

Mit Particula bauen wir, ausgehend von der Schnittstelle Nachhaltigkeit, die erste Rating- und Datenplattform für tokenisierte Vermögenswerte. Beginnend mit tokenisierten Kohlenstoff-Zertifikaten entwickeln wir dabei Qualitätsbewertungen und ausführliche Analyseberichte, bei denen wir uns vor allem auf technische, ökonomische sowie Umwelt- und Compliance-Aspekte dieser neuen Anlagevehikel fokussieren. Bislang haben wir über 200 Token im Bereich Kohlenstoff identifiziert, sowie über 300 weitere in den Bereichen erneuerbare Energien, Kreislaufwirtschaft, Projektfinanzierung (z.B. für Solar- und Windkraftanlagen), Edelmetalle und viele mehr.

Paypal startet eigenen Stablecoin

Die Digital Asset Welt hat einen aufregenden Neuzugang: PayPal, einer der globalen Spitzenreiter im Zahlungsverkehr, hat seinen eigenen Stablecoin, PYUSD, ins Leben gerufen. In Partnerschaft mit der Paxos Trust Company und basierend auf der Ethereum-Blockchain bietet PYUSD einen eigenen Stablecoin. Also eine digitale Währung, die vollständig durch US-Dollar-Einlagen und kurzfristige Staatsanleihen gedeckt ist. Mit dem festen Preis von 1 USD pro PYUSD vereinfacht dieser Stablecoin den Handel und die Integration in verschiedene digitale Plattformen. Ob in der PayPal-App oder auf der Website – PYUSD öffnet ein neues Kapitel in der Kryptowährungswelt.

Aus der Community gibt es durchaus gemischte Meinungen. Der Programmierer Pashov untersuchte den Smart Contract Code des PYUSD und ist von mehreren Funktionen innerhalb des Quellcodes enttäuscht.

Nutzer warnt er deshalb vor dem Gebrauch des Tokens.

“Der neue Paypal-USD-Stablecoin hat eine «assetProtection»-Funktion, die dein Guthaben in zwei Transaktionen löschen kann (erst freeze, dann wipeFrozenAddress)”, erklärt Pashov.

Konkret spricht Pashov damit auf die Möglichkeit an, dass PayPal das PYUSD-Vermögen bestimmter Adressen ohne Probleme löschen kann. Wir sind gespannt und beobachten eng, wie sich durch Paypal die adoption Digitaler Assets weiterentwickelt.

Youba enters into partnership with Mercedes-Benz NXT Studio

Mercedes-Benz recently gave the go-ahead for its own Web3 Studio. Our portfolio company Youba now provides the matching hardware: thus, long-time customers of the Swabian car manufacturer get exclusive access to digital assets enabled by a high-quality hardware wallet made by youba and the easy user experience of the One-Tap app.

Particula at the Munich VC Stammtisch

Our portfolio company Particula received excellent feedback at the VC-Stammtisch in Munich last week. Particula offers the first holistic database for digital assets.

With Particula, we are building the first rating and data platform for tokenized assets, starting from the sustainability interface. Starting with tokenized carbon certificates, we are thereby developing quality ratings and in-depth analysis reports, focusing primarily on technical, economic, and environmental and compliance aspects of these new investment vehicles. To date, we have identified over 200 tokens in the carbon space, as well as over 300 others in renewable energy, circular economy, project finance (e.g. for solar and wind), precious metals, and many more.

Paypal launches its own stablecoin

The digital asset world has an exciting new addition: PayPal, one of the global leaders in payment processing, has launched its own stablecoin, PYUSD. In partnership with Paxos Trust Company and based on the Ethereum blockchain, PYUSD offers its own stablecoin. This means a digital currency that is fully backed by US dollar deposits and short-term government bonds. With a fixed price of 1 USD per PYUSD, this stablecoin simplifies trading and integration into various digital platforms. Whether in the PayPal app or on the website, PYUSD opens a new chapter in the cryptocurrency world. There are mixed opinions from the community. Programmer Pashov examined the smart contract code of PYUSD and is disappointed with several features within the source code. He therefore warns users against using the token.

"The new PayPal USD stablecoin has an 'assetProtection' function that can delete your balance in two transactions (first freeze, then wipeFrozenAddress)," explains Pashov.

Specifically, Pashov is referring to the possibility that PayPal can easily delete the PYUSD assets of certain addresses. We are curious and closely monitoring how the adoption of digital assets will further develop through PayPal.
